I understand that it's for the people, by the people- but for a quick overview I think it's great. Why do so many people here seem to not like it? (Is it because it can't be used as a homework source?)

I think it's great, and use it all the time. In fact I use it so much that thought a donation was in order, until found that minimum they would accept was $50,00

It's not accurate. It is not allowable as a reliable resource. Therefore, what good is it?

It's about as reliable as using an answer from Yahoo Answers as a resource.

I think most people would agree.

Yep! Can't use it for homework. It is not a legitimate source of info for assignments or research. I look at it anyway if there is something I want to know about.

its a great site to search for almost anything, but because almost ANYONE can edit things, its hard to find if its the truth or not. people can just edit and make things up.

I use wikipedia often but if I get information from it, I back it up from another website. That way, I know it's true. But people don't like it because you can change texts that may not be true. I don't think they should even make wikipedia. They should sake it! Go to ask.com.au and search from there. Don't go to wikipedia if it gives you it.
